The Contrapoint Les Arts restaurant celebrates the seasonal opening of the Palau de Les Arts with a menu inspired by the famous Charles Gounod opera that has been on the bill since October 3.
Valencia, October 2, 2025.

The Palau de les Arts Open this Friday his season with Faust, by Charles Gounod, One of the great romantic operas that reflects on the eternal struggle between good and evil, temptation and the price of selling the soul to the devil. To celebrate, the restaurant Counterpoint Les Arts, , The gastronomic space managed by Gourmet Catering & events, proposes a special menu that transfers the history of the stage to the table, offering the diner a complete sensory experience inspired by the function. After the operatic trip, the experience continues at the table with A three-act menu That, like opera, explores the most intense passions.
The story begins with a man torn by the passage of time and the obsession of recovering lost youth. A burning start to the Gourmet Catering & Events has translated into an entree named Faust Hot Wings, which evokes the spark of the pact with the devil: spicy, vibrant wings that ignite the palate like the flame of temptation. A bold and seductive entry, which prepares the diner to enter the darkness of the story.
When the pact is already sealed and the plot advances towards the earthly and the carnal, the sirloin, juicy and elegant, is presented with mole poblano, an intense sauce full of contrasts —sweet, bitter, spicy— that symbolizes the complexity of the passions human. Like Faust, which oscillates between love, ambition and desire, this main course is a journey of nuances where each bite contains light and shadow.
The work culminates in the climax between condemnation and redemption. Chocolate, dark and deep, is served in different textures, accompanied by a spicy touch reminiscent of the infernal fire of Mephistopheles. A dessert that leaves a mark, as tempting as the devil himself, and that plays with the duality between pleasure and danger.
Each dish is accompanied by a carefully selected wine: Baigorri fermented in Barrica 2019, a fresh white and with character that enhances the intensity of the starter; Adèle, by Luca Bernasconi, an elegant and enveloping red, perfect for the game of flavors of the mole poblano; and Antigva Millésime, a vibrant and refined cava that elevates the dessert to a sparkling finish, like a last flash of redemption.
A complete operatic experience
Faust’s special menu will be available at Contrapunto Les Arts from October 3 to 15, both for the audience attending the opera and for any diner who wishes to enjoy this unique gastronomic proposal, with the option to savor it with the pairing. de wines.
