Gourmet Catering & Eventos has been awarded Bronze for Best Catering at the 2026 Eventoplus Awards for “The Silk Road”, a project developed for TESYA Group at Cartuja de Ara Christi. The award places us on the podium for the third consecutive year at one of the leading events industry awards in Spain and Portugal.
Gourmet Catering & Eventos adds another accolade at the Eventoplus Awards. At the 2026 edition, The Silk Road received Bronze in the Best Catering category, marking our third consecutive year on the podium.
The project was built around an idea that shaped its entire development: the Silk Road as a symbol of exchange, encounters and connections between East and West.
From this concept, we designed an experience for TESYA Group in which gastronomy and scenography spoke the same language. Cartuja de Ara Christi became the setting for a journey in which every decision, from the culinary proposal to the staging and service, followed the same narrative thread.
From a concept to an experience
Before designing the menu, we needed to understand what the event wanted to communicate and find a way to translate that idea into the guests’ experience. This starting point allowed us to create a bespoke proposal for the project, with gastronomy no longer working as a standalone element but becoming an integral part of the event’s overall narrative.
This is also how we approach catering for corporate events: understanding the client’s objectives and context and, from there, developing a proposal in which gastronomy, creativity, production, logistics and service all work in the same direction.
The Silk Road is a good example of this approach, and the Eventoplus award recognises the result of a project involving numerous teams and professionals.
Three consecutive years among the Best Catering winners
The 2026 Bronze follows the recognition received at the previous two editions of the Eventoplus Awards. In 2024, Gourmet Catering & Eventos won Gold for Best Catering for the project developed for Ftalks. A year later, in 2025, we received Bronze for the event created for Barceló Hotel Group. With The Silk Road, we return to the podium in 2026.
They are three very different projects, both in their concepts and objectives, but all share the same way of approaching our work: first understanding what each event needs and then building a proposal specifically around it.
This new award therefore also recognises the work of all the Gourmet Catering & Eventos teams involved in the project, as well as the professionals who worked alongside us to make it possible.
And, of course, TESYA Group, for their trust and for giving us the opportunity to develop a proposal created specifically for their event.
