The Catering Business Association renews its directive with key representation of Valencia

The Catering Business Association (AEC) has celebrated his Annual Assembly in which it has presented its new board of directors as well as its strategic objectives for 2025. For the first time ora Valencian company in the sector, Gourmet Catering & events, will be part of the association’s directive, with its head of business development and international relations, Corinna Heilmann, assuming the Vice Presidency.

the re-election of Jesus Railing, of Gourmet Life Group, As president of AEC, she has been accompanied by the incorporation of other new members to the Board of Directors, with representation from different Autonomous Communities. In this sense, together with Heilmann from Valencia, they have joined Rafael Borrego of Guadalquivir Catering (Seville) and Laura Novas of Gau catering (Barcelona), strengthening the presence of the association throughout Spain. The Executive Committee is made up of Jesús Baranda as President, Corinna Heilmann as Vice President, Eva Perez (d)Old Convent Group) as treasurer and Edward of Peter (d)Negralejo Group) as secretary.

In the same Assembly, the ACS has presented its Roadmap for 2025, which is focused on several fundamental strategic axes, such as the consolidation of the role of catering in the Event management, the impulse to continuous training, the promotion of Strategic and institutional alliances with entities such as FITUR to improve working conditions and the perception of the sector; the Fight against intrusion and unfair competition, promoting certification and compliance with health requirements; the improvement of external communication And finally, the adaptation of the collective agreement, considering the particularities of the catering sector.

The catering sector in the Valencian Community

The Valencian Community It is one of the main regions of Spain in the catering sector, concentrating the 11% of the total offer, only behind Madrid and Catalonia, according to the conclusions of the sectoral report prepared by DBK Informa.

The integration of Gourmet Catering & Events on the AEC directive and the appointment of Corinna Heilmann as vice president reinforce the partnership’s commitment to excellence and the development of the sector. In the words of Heilmann, “Our incorporation into the association reinforces the representation of the business community of the Valencian Community at the state level. Assuming this role in the AEC is a great responsibility and an opportunity to work in the defense of a sector that bets on quality and professionalization”.

With this new structure, the Catering Business Association will continue its work in the protection of the interests of companies in the sector, the promotion of good practices and the promotion of training and innovation in the catering industry in Spain.
