Valencia celebrates this year the European green capital, a recognition granted by the European Commission for the commitment of the city to the sustainability, care for the environment and the health and quality of life of its citizens and its visitors.
Our flora, our fauna, as well as our gastronomy, contribute to this appointment, which highlights the involvement of the city in the face of green policies, being the first city in the Mediterranean to achieve this award.
How could it be otherwise, from Gourmet Catering & events We are part of this commitment to a green Valencia, joining as a collaborating establishment of the European Green Capital.
With this green agreement of our city we assume the commitment to promote sustainable and quality tourism; Implement good practices in emissions, energy, and water areas; Disseminate the green routes and initiatives of the capital; and bet on proximity products, among others.
In Gourmet Catering & events we are pioneers in the management of Food waste. Since 2023 we have used a technology that guarantees the traceability of the donations that we make from our production center, thus increasing food security and the registration and control of them. In just one year we have donated about 10,000 servings to the Valencia Food Bank, thus avoiding the emission of almost 10 tons of CO2.
So much gourmet catering & events like our restaurant, Counterpoint Les Arts, are part of the entities that have received the badge, committing themselves to healthy and proximity food, balanced tourism, biodiversity, green infrastructures, climate mission and sustainable mobility.
