Valencia continues to gain relevance in the global field of technology and innovation. Two weeks ago, the city hosted the eighth edition of the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS), which was held on October 22 and 23 at the City of Arts and Sciences. This international event brought together more than 12,000 people from 120 countries, consolidating itself as one of the most important technological meetings in Europe.
The meeting was attended by key innovation leaders and decision-makers, such as Sun Campbell, the legendary former captain of the England team, champion of the Premier League and current leader in sports technology, and Kelly Rutherford, Hollywood actress and investor known for her role in the Gossip Girl series.
During their stay in Valencia, both enjoyed, together with the other attendees, a lunch at the Les Arts Counterpoint Restaurant, where they strengthened ties and shared experiences and learning throughout their careers.
Both Campbell and Rutherford are part of the profile of non-traditional investors that is beginning to consolidate itself in this type of appointment. Media figures that are deploying capital in high-potential technology projects, many of them still early.
