The Valencian company leads a new generation of catering in Spain, where excellence, sustainability and social impact coexist in perfect harmony. his most recent proposal—a sensory experience inspired by The Phantom of the Opera— Shows it.

In the competitive world of hospitality and events, few companies have been able to redefine their role as Gourmet Catering & events. With more than 75 years of history and firm roots in the Valencian Community, this family business has become a national benchmark not only for its gastronomic quality, but also for a comprehensive approach that combines creativity, sustainability and real inclusion.

recognized as the Best Catering in Spain At the 2024 EventPlus Awards, Gourmet Catering & Events does not understand gastronomy as an end, but as a means to create memorable experiences and generate positive impact. And it does so from a rigorous, professional and ambitious business vision, perfectly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Without a doubt, Gourmet Catering & events represents a New business paradigm, where events not only shine on the outside, but are supported by a solid organizational structure with values. Its model rests on three great pillars: Culinary excellence, social commitment and real sustainability.

Its production center has more than 1,600 m² in Valencia —fed with 100% renewable energy—, in a company in which more than 400 people work in total. Among them, young people with intellectual disabilities trained in their own labor inclusion program, developed together with the Asindown Foundation. There have already been 25 beneficiaries who have worked in the company since the labor inclusion project began.

This commitment earned him in June 2025 the Randstad Foundation Award for Labor Inclusion, and it is not an isolated case: in 2024 he also received the Valencia Hospitality Award for Sustainable Gastronomy, and in 2023 the NAOS Award from the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition for its healthy eating program at events (and carried out together with other renowned entities.

Technology, Inclusion and Innovation

Another key to the success of Gourmet Catering & Events is your ability to integrate technology and social impact. In collaboration with the Valencian FoodTech Naria, it has been The first catering company in Spain to implement a solution Blockchain for control and traceability of donated food surplus after events. In 2024 alone, this measure allowed to recover more than 1,100 kg of food in perfect condition, donated to local social entities.

Likewise, it is the only catering company in the world endorsed by the Chefs’ Manifesto In one of its menus, designed specifically for the MICE sector. This implies the rigorous compliance with sustainable practices: local and seasonal ingredients, reduction of food waste, protection of biodiversity and continuous training of the team.

A global vision from Valencia

Benigalip House

Gourmet Catering & Events exclusively manages 14 emblematic spaces in the Valencian Community —Cartuja de Ara Christi, Masía del Carmen, Vallesa de Mandor, Huerto San Vicente, Palacio de Congresos de València, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Sala Toros del Palau de les Arts, Sala Octava Palau de les Arts Restaurant, Contrapunto les Arts, Hotel Balneario Las Arenas, La Mare que heads of Asindown, City of Arts and Sciences, Clock Building (Port Authority), Marquess Palace Malferit and Palacio de la Exhibition— and Murcia —Parque de la Marquesa and Víctor Villegas Auditorium and Congress Center— and operates in more than 2,500 events a year, serving more than 360,000 diners. But beyond the figures, its ability to build tailor-made gastronomic narratives stands out.

No two events are the same. Each proposal —from a private dinner to a great international congress— is conceived from scratch, with the same aesthetic requirement and the same ethical commitment. It is this coherence, maintained at all levels, that has consolidated Gourmet Catering & events like one of the most admired companies in the sector.

An experience that sums it all up: Dinner with a mask at Les Arts

The best way to understand the gourmet model is to live it. And in July, we did. Coinciding with the arrival in Valencia of the mythical musical The Phantom of the Opera, , Les Arts Counterpoint Restaurant —Located at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía and managed by Gourmet— presented a gastronomic experience inspired by the universe of the work of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The proposal, available from July 4 to 20, included a themed menu with beet and octopus gazpacho, low-back ripe loin with Salsa Café Paris and a reinterpretation of the opera cake. All accompanied by an exclusive cocktail — the masked cocktail — that combined pink gin, cava, elderflower liqueur and a reduction of Jägermeister. An enveloping, sophisticated dinner, consistent with the tone of the opera… and one more example of how gourmet brings the story to the table. But behind this proposal there is something much deeper than a well-executed scenery.

In times when excellence is no longer enough, Gourmet demonstrates that it is also possible—and profitable—to build a business model based on consciousness. And that, from any point of view, is worthy of applause.
