Arantxa and Vicente: The Wedding at Vallesa de Mandor That Waited for the Right Moment and Turned Gastronomy into the Ultimate Way to Celebrate

Vallesa de Mandor

Some weddings take months to plan. Others take years. Arantxa and Vicente’s wedding, with Vicente being a former professional footballer and a member of Levante UD’s coaching staff, belongs firmly to the latter.

After postponing their wedding twice due to professional commitments, the couple finally reached their third attempt with a rare sense of certainty. They knew exactly how they wanted to feel on their wedding day. No unnecessary extravagance, no chasing fleeting trends. Their ambition was far greater: to create an authentic, elegant and genuinely enjoyable celebration for the people they loved most. And that is exactly what they achieved.

Set within the natural surroundings of Vallesa de Mandor by Gourmet Catering & Eventos, surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, the couple created a celebration where every decision reflected the same idea: sharing. Sharing time, conversations, music, emotions and, of course, an exceptional dining experience that would become one of the most memorable parts of the day.

With the guidance of Romeos & Julietas Wedding Planner, the wedding’s aesthetic was built around a colour palette that felt as unexpected as it was sophisticated. Green, echoing the surrounding landscape, combined beautifully with bold red to create a warm, vibrant and elegant atmosphere that accompanied every moment of the celebration.

From the cocktail reception, designed as a relaxed space where guests could move freely between different settings, to the dinner held inside the venue, every corner invited people to linger a little longer. Textiles, floral arrangements, candlelight and carefully designed lighting blended naturally into the celebration, creating a setting that complemented rather than competed with its beautiful surroundings.

If there was one element that won unanimous praise from every guest, however, it was the gastronomy.

Designed by Gourmet Catering & Eventos, the culinary experience accompanied the rhythm of the celebration from the very first toast to the final dance. The cocktail reception, one of the highlights most talked about throughout the day, delighted guests with its variety, energy and ability to turn gastronomy into a shared experience. Alongside the company’s signature creations, guests enjoyed a spectacular 360-degree cheese and charcuterie display, a dedicated vermouth station and a scallop buffet, all of which quickly became some of the most popular attractions of the celebration.

Dinner maintained the very same level of personality and attention to detail. The menu began with a chilled mango salmorejo served with lobster, strawberries and avocado mousse, followed by a refreshing mojito sorbet. For the main course, guests were served salt-crusted beef tenderloin which, according to the newlyweds themselves, received compliments throughout the evening and became one of the most talked-about dishes from table to table.

To finish on a sweet note, guests enjoyed two equally celebrated desserts: traditional torrija served with a strawberry caprese and milk meringue ice cream, alongside a chocolate fondant with banana and avocado coulis accompanied by vanilla ice cream. The dining experience concluded with an assortment of petit fours served alongside coffee.

“I don’t think there was a single person who didn’t congratulate us on both the food and the service,” Arantxa recalls, reflecting on a day where every detail seemed to come together effortlessly.

Music, thoughtfully woven into the flow of the celebration, reinforced the feeling of an experience that continued to evolve throughout the day. Live performances accompanied different moments of the wedding, creating distinct atmospheres for each stage of the celebration before leading seamlessly into an unforgettable party.

As night fell, the celebration shifted into a new rhythm. Crimson lighting transformed the dance floor while a surprise performance marked the transition from dinner to the party, completely transforming the space and elevating the energy shared by every guest.

Perhaps the true success of Arantxa and Vicente’s wedding was not found in a particular decorative element, a specific performance or even an unforgettable dish. It lay in something far more difficult to achieve: making every guest feel as though they were part of the story.

At a time when weddings are increasingly designed as immersive experiences, few things feel as elegant as placing people at the very heart of the celebration.

Exactly as they had always imagined.
