Contrapunto Les Arts presents a menu and a signature cocktail inspired by the classic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber available from 4 to 20 July

The restaurant Contrapunto Les Arts, located in the Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofia, celebrates the arrival to Valencia’s iconic musical The Phantom of the Opera with a unique culinary experience. 4 of July 20, the dining space managed by Gourmet Catering & Events proposes a unique menu and a cocktail of author inspired in the universe, dramatic and elegant, created by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Faithful to the tradition of pairing opera and cuisine, the restaurant adds a new creation to your collection of themed menus, designed to transform each function in a complete sensory experience. On this occasion, the flavors evoke the mystery, the sophistication and the magnetism of the mythical masked character and the atmosphere of the Opera Garnier in Paris, the setting of the original story.

A menu in three acts

The special menu is started with a gazpacho beet with octopus and noodles cucumber, a nod to visual backdrop of velvet that rise each night to give step-by-Christine, the sweet protagonist of the musical. As a main dish, is served a spine under matured with sauce café Paris, a tribute to the own Phantom —Erik— raised up and forged in the bowels of the opera house, deep and full of nuances.

To finish, the dessert transports the diner to the high French pastry with a reinterpretation of the classic cake Opera: layers of sponge cake of almonds (joconde), chocolate ganache, cream butter and coffee frosting brilliant. Each layer is reminiscent of the flooring of the stage and the refinement of an evening of operatic.

The cocktail of the masked

The proposal is complete with a signature cocktail designed as a tribute to the mystery that surrounds the protagonist. The mixture of liqueur of elderflower, gin pink, champagne infusionado with white tea and a reduction of Jägermeister gives rise to a sophisticated drink, and an envelope, which accompanies the evening with floral notes and smoky, and slightly bitter. A representation liquid of obsession, desire, and the night.

Contrapunto Les Arts with a large terrace on the ground floor of the Palau, an outdoor space that invites you to savor each dish with ease.
