The menu will be served until the 1st day of February, during the days of the representation of the opera.
The restaurant Contrapunto Les Arts, located in the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia and managed by Gourmet Catering & Events, presents a new menu-pairing with reason of the representation of Eugenio Oneguin, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, one of the operas, the most intimate and emotional of the Russian repertoire. The gastronomic proposal is available from 20 January to 1 February, coinciding with the functions in the Arts.
The menu of Contrapunto Les Arts proposes a journey, where each dish has a dialogue with the psychology of the characters and the plot of the play.

To start, the salad katsobushi with an air of olives and piparras offers a reinterpretation subtle flavour of the slaw classic, crossed by shades salty and umami. The lightness of the katsobushi evokes the written words, and not such, while the air of olives and the touch stabbing of the piparras introduce the latent tension that runs throughout the opera, from their first scenes.
The main dish is deep and comforting, an elaboration of slow cooking. A knuckle at a low temperature with cream of parsnip and Brussels sprouts that refers to the weight of the decisions and the severity of the consequences.
The closure, Syrniky with red fruit jam looks directly at the Russian tradition. The syrniky, delicate, and slightly acidic, accompanied by red berries that add sweetness and melancholy.
The special menu of Eugenio Oneguin will be available in Contrapunto Les Arts until the 1st of February, during the days of the representation of the opera.
