The restaurant presents a special menu inspired by Cabaret, one of the most iconic musicals of all time, which will run at Les Arts from 2 to 19 July in an innovative immersive format where audiences become part of the performance.
Contrapunto Les Arts is embracing the spirit of Cabaret with a themed menu inspired by 1930s Berlin. Created to complement the immersive 360º production arriving at Les Arts this July, the dining experience transports guests to the provocative and vibrant atmosphere of Germany’s interwar years.
Designed by the culinary team at the restaurant managed by Gourmet Catering & Eventos, the menu reinterprets distinctive elements of German cuisine from the interwar period, extending the atmosphere of the legendary Kit Kat Klub to the dining table.
The gastronomic journey unfolds like a series of scenes, evoking the cosmopolitan and provocative spirit of Berlin’s famous cabaret culture through ingredients and flavours representative of 1930s Germany, the setting of the musical.
The experience begins with two starters that capture the essence of cabaret: informal and sophisticated elements sharing the same table. Guests are first served hand-cut potatoes with pickled mussel emulsion and piparras, a bold and direct bite reminiscent of a cabaret’s opening act. This is followed by one of the most refined dishes on the menu: oyster with vermouth reduction and olive soil, a creation that plays with contrasts and intensity of flavour. Both starters are paired with Château Closiot, a Bordeaux wine made from Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
For the main course, guests can choose between duck magret with fennel, crispy rye bread and stout beer glace — roasted duck and dark rye bread being two staples of German cuisine since the Weimar era — or tuna with fennel and crispy rye bread. Both dishes are paired with Casa Castillo La Tendida, a wine from Jumilla made from Monastrell and Garnacha grapes.
The experience concludes with an apple and cinnamon coulant served with vanilla ice cream, a reinterpretation of the classic strudel, paired with Primitivo Quiles Moscatel.
Available on every performance day, both before and after the show, the menu complements the immersive production to create a complete cultural and gastronomic experience. The menu is priced at €39.50 per person, including VAT and bread. Guests can also enhance the experience with a specially selected wine pairing for each performance, available for an additional €16.50.
In a production where audiences cease to be mere spectators and become part of the story, Contrapunto Les Arts offers another way to immerse themselves in the experience: by taking a seat at the table and surrendering to the journey.
Alongside the themed menu, Contrapunto Les Arts will also continue to serve its regular à la carte menu throughout the performance period, from 2 to 19 July.
