Sustainable tourism goes far beyond environmental management. It also involves creating opportunities, fostering inclusion, and contributing to people’s well-being. This very approach was the focus of a special program broadcast by Radio Valencia Cadena SER entitled “Sustainable Tourism: The Tourism You Don’t Always See,” where Gourmet Catering & Eventos was highlighted as an example of best practices in social sustainability.
During the radio program, the focus was on initiatives that demonstrate that tourism can be a tool for social transformation, capable of generating quality employment, promoting diversity, and creating opportunities for groups with greater difficulties accessing the labor market.
Social sustainability as part of our DNA
At Gourmet Catering & Events, we understand sustainability from a holistic perspective. That’s why, for years, we have been promoting projects that contribute to building a more inclusive and diverse society.
One of the most representative examples is our collaboration with the training center La Mare Que Va, run by Asindown, an initiative focused on training people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities in the hospitality and tourism sectors. This project has been recognized as an example of the positive impact that companies can generate when they integrate workplace inclusion into their business strategy.
