An exceptional Mediterranean garden near Dénia and Jávea, opening its doors to a different way of celebrating: boutique weddings, thoughtfully curated down to the smallest detail and individually designed for each couple.
Some places were never conceived as wedding venues. And perhaps that is precisely what makes them so special when a wedding does take place there.
Located in Pedreguer, Alicante, Jardín de l’Albarda is one of the finest examples of Mediterranean gardening. Created in 1990, its 50,000 sqm are home to more than 700 species of native plants, alongside an extensive collection of roses and palm trees.
From now on, it will also become the setting for a select number of very special celebrations with Gourmet Catering & Eventos.
Boutique weddings at Jardín de l’Albarda
L’Albarda is not a conventional wedding venue. And we want to keep it that way.
Its addition to our collection of wedding venues comes with a very specific approach: boutique weddings, individually conceived so that the gastronomy, styling and every detail feel naturally connected to the garden itself.
There are no standard formulas and no need for the setting to lose the essence of the historic Valencian Renaissance gardens that inspired it, with their distinctive Arab influence. Pathways, pergolas, fountains, ponds, Mediterranean vegetation and architecture come together naturally to create a succession of different settings.
A place that retains its essence
The light changes. The garden evolves with the seasons. And every celebration finds its own place within it.
Part of what makes celebrating a wedding at l’Albarda so distinctive is precisely the importance of preserving everything that makes the garden special.
Our team works closely with each couple to design their celebration and create a gastronomic and service proposal tailored to the setting, respecting its character and ensuring that every decision feels part of the whole.
The result is not intended to recreate a wedding that could take place anywhere else. Instead, the focus is on complete personalisation, allowing the essence of l’Albarda and the personality of each couple to come together naturally.
Much more than a garden
There is another story behind l’Albarda that deserves to be told.
The garden belongs to FUNDEM – Fundación Enrique Montoliu, a private non-profit foundation dedicated since 1996 to the conservation of Mediterranean flora and fauna.
It is one of the foundation’s most significant projects and an example of Mediterranean gardening based on native species, biodiversity and a more sustainable use of natural resources.
Its natural and landscape value was recognised in 2002 with the Magister Award for Landscaping from the Universitat Politècnica de València.
Celebrating here therefore means becoming part, even if only for a few hours, of an exceptional place while connecting with a wider project dedicated to protecting and sharing the Mediterranean’s natural heritage.
