There are weddings remembered for how they look. And then there are weddings remembered for how they feel. Sandra and Jose’s celebration, held at Parque de la Marquesa estate in Murcia, was precisely that: a fully immersive sensory experience, woven from an impeccable aesthetic narrative, intimate symbolism, and a gastronomic proposal designed to enchant with every bite.
At Gourmet Catering & Eventos, we had the privilege of accompanying them on a day that did not aim merely to be beautiful—it aspired to be unforgettable.
A clear vision: stepping into an enchanted world
Sandra was certain from the very beginning: she wanted the wedding to breathe a very specific atmosphere. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” became the guiding thread, and as every great story needs a symbol, the orange blossom took on the role of the celebration’s emblem. It formed an emotional bridge between Sandra’s Murcian roots and Jose’s Valencian heritage, appearing in the dress, the decorative details, and even in the bespoke emblem designed by the bride’s brother.
Parque de la Marquesa: the perfect setting for a summer night
Although the couple currently live in Valencia, they wanted to honour the tradition of getting married in the bride’s homeland. Murcia was the natural choice—and so was the estate. In the couple’s own words, they were seeking a venue that felt intimate, secluded, and deeply connected to nature, while also allowing for a seamless journey through different settings.
Parque de la Marquesa offered it all: orange and lemon groves, hidden courtyards, reflecting pools, and secret corners capable of transforming each moment of the celebration into a different act within the same story.

An aesthetic that sprang from the earth
If the vision was a dream, the décor was the spell. During the cocktail hour, flowers burst into a vibrant display: sunflowers, dahlias, carnations, lisianthus and celosia, cascading as if they were growing directly from the ground.
As night fell, the estate was transformed into an even more cinematic setting: fountains filled with lemons, oranges and floating candles; pathways lit by candlelight; and lights suspended among the trees, creating a warm, enveloping glow. All of it bore the artistic signature of Emy Floristas, who masterfully translated every detail Sandra had imagined with absolute precision.

Gastronomy: the reassurance of getting the most important thing right
Sandra and Jose were already familiar with our approach: they had attended other weddings where Gourmet Catering & Eventos was responsible for the menu and the overall experience. That prior experience gave them something invaluable in a process full of decisions: trust.
Knowing that the pacing of the event, the timing, the service, and the culinary quality are in expert hands allows the couple to simply be present and enjoy the moment.
A fresh, Mediterranean, and elegant menu
A nighttime wedding at the beginning of summer called for a clear direction: freshness, lightness, balance, and Mediterranean flavor. The result was a menu full of personality, sophistication, and emotional touches.
For starters, they chose tuna tartare with mango salmorejo, yuzu roe, and tomato ice cream. The main course was lamb with confit ceps and roasted tender garlic cream, and the sweet touch was a hazelnut Kit Kat temptation with chocolate chantilly.
A cocktail with soul: corners and personal tributes
During the cocktail, cold and hot appetizers were served with care and fluidity, designed to accompany the estate’s natural rhythm.
As every great celebration is made of meaningful gestures, there were two standout moments:
- The vermouth corner with gildas, a direct tribute to the couple’s shared passion for vermouth hour (and gildas, as it should be).
- Mini Murcian marineras, a beautiful nod to Sandra’s homeland: local identity served in bite-sized form, celebrated and applauded by all the guests.
At Gourmet Catering & Eventos, we know that when the menu becomes a narrative, the experience stops being just “food” and becomes memory.

A wedding that tasted of summer, magic, and serenity
The result was a celebration where everything made sense: the setting, the aesthetics, the fashion, the symbolism, and, of course, the gastronomy.
At Gourmet Catering & Eventos, we are delighted that Sandra and Jose trusted us for a night like this. Because at a wedding, true exclusivity isn’t about excess—it’s about what is done well. What flows naturally. What moves you effortlessly.
And that, when the day finally arrives, is what matters most: the peace of mind that comes from knowing everything is in good hands.
